Inside Hulk Hogan’s lurid sex tape court case
HULK Hogan stated during his testimony in his case against Gawker he initially thought it was a joke when his best friend said his wife wanted to have sex with him.
That conversation eventually led to a sexual encounter that was taped and later published online in what Hogan emotionally described as a life-changing, “humiliating” experience.
Testifying on Monday in his lawsuit against the website Gawker, Hogan said his friend, radio personality Bubba “the Love Sponge” Clem, told him in a phone call that his wife Heather wanted to have sex with him. Hogan said he treated it as a joke, but the couple — who he said had an open marriage — kept bringing it up repeatedly.
Hogan testified that when he and Heather eventually did have sex, her husband handed Hogan a condom. Hogan said he felt something was wrong, and he asked if they were being taped. He said Bubba denied it.
“It was so weird and so crazy, my gut was telling me that this was off, this was wrong,” Hogan testified. “From the feeling that I had, I said, ‘Bubba you’re not filming this are you?’ ... he lashed into me.”
He described Bubba the Love Sponge — the character — as “arrogant, cocky, nasty to people on the phone”. However he said for a long time, he considered the radio personality a close friend.
“We became so close that we started training every day together,” he said. “We just did everything together, to the point where he helped my daughter with her music. He helped my son with the stuff he wanted to do, and I went through a really tough time when my father passed away … as [my father] took his last breath Bubba was there with me ... There was never any question of who he was or what he meant to me. I believed in my heart he was my best friend.”
Hogan said he first became aware there was an explicit tape of his encounter with Heather when TMZ called him and informed him of still images of the incident. He said he was “completely humiliated” by the publication of a video showing him having sex with his then-best friend’s wife.
He recalled first hearing media buzz that Bubba the Love Sponge may have been involved in the release of the tape.
“I couldn’t quit shaking,” he said. The wrestler said definitively he is no longer friends with Bubba the Love Sponge.
For a good half-hour, Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, testified on Monday about his early days as a wrestler. He told the court he got into wrestling in the mid-‘70s because he loved it.
“It’s very physical,” he said of the demands of the sport.
Hogan said he has had multiple knee replacements, hip replacements and back surgeries. He said while in the WWE his character, Hulk Hogan, began gaining popularity.
Hogan said he was in character not just when he was in the ring, but almost all the time.
“As the years have passed by, I’ve realised that the moment I leave my home … when I am away from my house it is pretty much 24 hours a day, because no one calls me Terry anywhere … it’s always Hulk Hogan when people see me away from my home,” he said.
Gawker released a statement early Monday morning blasting the professional wrestler for the suit, which could bankrupt the company should Hogan win.
“Three-and-a-half years ago, Gawker showed nine seconds of Hulk Hogan having sex with the wife of his best friend, Bubba the Love Sponge — who actually made the 30-minute tape and appears in it himself,” the statement read. “Hulk Hogan was more than willing to talk about his sex life — including in two autobiographies, a reality TV series and Howard Stern’s radio show — until he didn’t like what Gawker had to say. Now he wants $100 million as compensation. Compare that with the $5000 settlement that Bubba paid Hulk for the actual taping.”
But Hogan’s team wasn’t impressed with the website’s opening salvo, telling FOX411: “Gawker will do anything, say anything, and attempt anything to disguise what amounts to reprehensible conduct. What they did is apparent. All excuses aside it is time for them to come to terms with their conduct and be held accountable. Their continued efforts to excuse their conduct by distraction will not work with this jury and should not work with the general public.”
A six-member jury will determine whether Gawker violated Hogan’s right to privacy when it published the video of the former professional wrestler having sex with his best friend’s wife. Hogan’s attorneys say it garnered seven million views.
Hogan says the video was made without his knowledge.

KIM Kardashian has posted another nude selfie — as she continues to fight the backlash over yesterday’s pic.
The Sun reports that the star, 35, Instagrammed a black and white shot which showed her covering her modesty with one hand and using the other to conceal her nipples.
Captioning the photo “#liberated”, the shot follows a picture posted on Monday which saw the reality star baring all with just two black bars strategically placed across her body.
Kardashian joked alongside the image that she had nothing to wear, despite a wardrobe of designer clothes.
Fans speculated that the picture was actually taken a long time ago, which she confirmed on Twitter.
She wrote: “I’m flattered some of u guys thought my post earlier was a recent pic! That was my blonde moment a year ago & 25 lbs less! #MondayMotivation.”
The star cheekily added: “Sorry I’m late to the party guys I was busy cashing my 80 million video game check & transferring 53 million into our joint account.”
Kardashian has never been afraid of exposing her body, having previously posed forPlayboy before baring all in shoots for Paper and W magazines.
She has also flashed the flesh in selfies while pregnant, showing off her baby bump while posing in her bathroom mirror.
Her antics haven’t impressed everyone though, as a host of celebs including Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, Bette Midler and actress Chloe Grace Moretz took to Twitter to slam the star for her exhibitionism.
Midler particularly scathing, writing: “Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.”
Moretz reminded Kardashian that she is a role model for women.
“I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than ... just their bodies,” the actress wrote.
However Kardashian fired back on the social media site, blasting all three stars in a Kanye West style rant
“hey @BetteMidler I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu.”

16-year-old Danish girl on terror charges
A 16-year-old Danish girl has been charged with planning a "terrorist" attack on two schools, one of them Jewish, after acquiring chemicals for bombs.
A police press release says the girl's 24-year-old friend, who local media have said was a former fighter in Syria, has also been charged with complicity in preparing the bombs.
Danish broadcaster TV2 said the girl had recently converted to Islam. She was arrested on January 13 and her friend the following day, accused among other things of having provided the girl with manuals for bombs.
Both have pleaded not guilty. They have not been named by the authorities or media, according to Danish practice.
The Danish intelligence service said the arrests had not changed their assessment of the security threat, classified as "serious" since February 2015 when a gunman killed two people in shooting attacks on a debating event and a Copenhagen synagogue before being shot dead himself by police.

The Force Awakens tops MTV nominations
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the leading nominee at next month's MTV Movie Awards.
MTV announced the nominations Tuesday for the 25th anniversary of its Movie Awards, airing April 10, via Snapchat - a first for a national awards show.
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are set to host the show, which will tape April 9 at Warner Bros studios in Burbank, California.
The 11 bids for The Force Awakens include multiple nominations for stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
The latest Star Wars instalment will compete with Creed, Deadpool, Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Straight Outta Compton for movie of the year.
The MTV Movie Awards added two new categories this year: true story and documentary. Fans can vote for their favourites in all categories online.

Captain America: Civil War Has A Villain Issue, According To Chris Evans
Chris Evans returns as Captain America for the character’s third solo film — the term "solo" defined loosely. Civil War sees Steve Rogers go on the run from the government and fight his former teammate, Iron Man, in a politically motivated war over new restrictions on superheroes. Speaking from the film’s Atlanta set, Evans said the situation isn’t so black and white. He tells CinemaBlend:
Cap 1 [The First Avenger], we all know Nazis are bad. Cap 2 [The Winter Soldier], Hydra is no good either. But this one, there’s no clear bad guy, and I think that’s far more parallel to the struggles we go through in our current political state. There’s logic to both sides, and where do you bend? Where’s the compromise? What’s the goal?
I think Cap’s struggling because every time he has fallen in line, and has been a soldier, and has taken orders and leaned on the structure of society, it’s kinda turned on him. And I think he ultimately feels the safest hands are his own, because at least he can trust them. But again, that’s not gonna work for the masses. So it’s the first time he really doesn’t know what the right answer is.
Joe and Anthony Russo (who directed The Winter Soldier) helm Civil War from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The duo hope they blurred the villain and hero lines so well that audiences walk out of theaters arguing with each other over who is in the right. Joe explained,
I'll say this, obviously it will be easier for the audience to get behind Cap because it's his movie, it's his point of view and he has the most screen time; however, Tony has the most emotional motivation in the film. The most human motivation. Cap's is philosophical. We did that as a metric. It's natural instinct for an audience member to want to get behind the person that has more screen time and somebody as likable and root-able as Cap, so you have to work really hard to make sure that this is not a protagonist/antagonist movie.
Even the other characters will be grappling over this dilemma. While the Civil Wartrailers revealed Team Cap to be made of The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man, and Team Iron Man with Black Panther, Black Widow, War Machine, and Vision, the filmmakers teased that these allegiances may or may not change.

Suicide Squad Almost Went With Harley Quinn's Most Iconic Look, Here's What Happened
During an interview with Hello Giggles, Margot Robbie revealed that before they chose Harley’s current Suicide Squad look, from the ‘Daddy’s Little Monster" shirt to the torn fishnet stockings, they went though several other costume variations. As she put it:
Oh, we tried on every variation of the costume. I cannot emphasis enough how many outfits, and how many variations of the Harley Quinn costume we tried. We tried the court jester costume, we tried the corset and skirt, we tried leather pants, we tried literally every type of costume possible for her. I really love where we ended up. And who knows, maybe in the sequels we’ll go with the court jester one. I think there’s a world of possibilities.
As mentioned before, Suicide Squad isn’t the first time Harley’s costume has been changed. The first major revamp was in the Batman: Arkham video games, and a few years later, the New 52 traded in her classic costume for something more "modern." However, it’s the jester outfit (as seen below) that most people have recognized her by since 1992, and although she may not wear it as much nowadays, it would still be interesting to see it in live action, even if it’s not as practical as the cartoons and comics make it.
Last year, before principal photography began, it was rumored that Harley would go through several costume changes in Suicide Squad, including her "traditional animated series" costume. From what we’ve seen in the previews so far, although she does go through a few fashion changes, it doesn't look like that’ll come to pass. But, like Margot Robbie said, there may be hope for the future.
Fortunately for Harley fans, Suicide Squad 2 may be closer than they think, as it was reported last week that Warner Bros. is so impressed with the early Suicide Squadfootage that they’re starting to develop a sequel. Since we can safely assume that Harley won’t be one of the characters killed off in the first movie, perhaps she could don the jester outfit briefly for the sequel before returning to her main DCEU look. You know, just to try a new look while committing crimes before going on more forced black ops missions for the government.
We’ll see Harley Quinn in action alongside other DC baddies when Suicide Squadhits theaters on August 5.

Spider-Man Just Signed Zendaya For A Major Marvel Role
Being among the actresses who have been quietly testing for the movie, Deadlinehas heard that Zendaya has scored a "key role" in Spider-Man’s latest solo adventure as a character named Michelle. No details were provided about whether she’s playing the romantic lead, but the report notes that it doesn’t sound like it. Given how secretive these superhero movie castings can sometimes be, it wouldn’t be surprising if "Michelle" is just a pseudonym for someone from the comics, but it may be a while until Marvel and Sony are forthcoming about how she’s specifically involved.
Assuming that Zendaya’s Michelle not being the love interest in the new Spider-Manmovie is true, that means we can rule her out as either Gwen Stacy or Mary Jane Watson, but there are still a few options. Maybe she’s playing Peter’s classmate Liz Allen, or Daily Bugle employee Betty Brant. Depending on how they might set up a potential sequel, it’s even plausible that she’s Felicia Hardy before she becomes Black Cat. On the other hand, maybe the reboot is switching things up by including an original character, and Michelle really is Zendaya’s character’s name. That still doesn’t narrow down how she is interacting with Spidey, although since this movie is a "coming of age" tale for Holland’s Peter as he handles his new crimefighting life while struggling through high school, odds are she’ll be one of his classmates, and since she’s described as "key," let’s hope she’s one of his friends rather than picking on him like most of his peers.
Zendaya’s first major acting role was starring as Rocky Blue on the Disney Channelseries Shake it Up, and has been a frequent fixture on some of the channel’s other original series and movies. She currently stars as K.C. Cooper on K.C. Undercover, but fans of ABC’s Blackish might have caught her last year in the episode "Daddy’s Day." She’s also made a name for herself as a singer with singles like "Swag It Out" and "Replay," but unless there’s a talent show, choir performance or karaoke inSpider-Man, we can probably rule out Zendaya using her musical talents.
